4-star hotel in Carcassonne: a unique historic setting

The Pont-Levis Hôtel has all the charm of an 18th-century building with the modern conveniences of a 4-star establishment. Initially an inn and then a museum, the building has now been entirely renovated and modernised; it was converted into an upscale hotel in 2013.

Since 2016, it's at the behest of double Michelin-starred Chef Franck Putelat. This is just the latest of a series of establishments set up by the restaurateur, including "Le Parc" hotel and his Michelin-starred restaurant "Table de Franck Putelat" by the walls of the Historic Fortified City, as well as his "Brasserie A 4 Temps" at the Bastide Saint-Louis gate in the historic heart of Carcassonne.

Situated just 50m from the "Porte Narbonnaise", the main entrance to the Historic Fortified City of Carcassonne, the Pont-Levis Hotel welcomes you to the cultural heart of this historic region. The Pont-Levis Hotel commands stunning views of the Historic Fortified City at all times of day and night.

The north face of the original building has been clad with weathering steel, giving the hotel entrance a contemporary twist. The sun-drenched south-facing side accommodates the breakfast room and bar.
